Who are we?

ESE Consultants, Inc (ESE) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toll Brothers, Inc. (TBI). ESE supports TBI’s residential, commercial, apartment and city living teams with in-house surveying, planning, engineering and environmental consulting services from 19 offices covering New England to Seattle, Washington.

ESE Consultants , a Toll Brothers company, seeks a Landscape Architect/Planner for our office in Charleston, South Carolina.

What is the opportunity?

Design and manage preparation of reports and plans for land development projects.

What are the primary responsibilities?

• Review and Prepare new community plans ensuring each concept meets our standards with full regard for value maximization, cost reduction and constructability
• Review and Prepare aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective solutions for community layout and configuration plans
• Assist with training staff and encourage good communication skills within the group and with clients
• Prepare landscape and hardscape plans for submission and approval by local jurisdiction
• Assist with review agency approvals and represent project at public hearings
• Prepare project scope, proposal, schedule and invoices
• Review and prepare construction drawings for entry features, recreation facilities and other common elements within communities
• Shop drawing review and address contractor request for information
• Provide markups and review comments on plans by others with written or graphic improvements
• Assist in interviewing process and mentor new staff
• Prepare multiple concurrent land analysis and planning tasks
• Prepare due diligence plans showing the highest and best use of properties

Does this describe you?

• Ability to manage effectively in a team setting and interact with clients and review agencies
• Good time management skills, ability to work within tight timeframes and deadlines
• Strong multi-tasking abilities to juggle many different tasks while maintaining focus
• Strong communication skills

Do you have these ?

• 4-8 years as a licensed professional in Landscape Architectural or related field
• Requires a 4-year BS degree in landscape architecture or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures within the land development field
