Job Overview:

We are seeking a Landscape Architect with a passion for creating sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from residential and commercial developments to public spaces and environmental planning. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of civil engineers, planners, and environmental professionals to deliver innovative solutions that integrate stormwater management , land development , and infrastructure design .

The ideal candidate will be experienced in landscape design, have strong technical skills, and possess a deep understanding of zoning requirements, erosion control practices, and environmental considerations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development : Create innovative landscape plans for a variety of projects including commercial, residential, and public developments.
  • Sustainable Solutions : Work closely with engineering teams to integrate landscape elements into stormwater management , erosion control , and land development plans.
  • Master Planning : Assist in the preparation of large-scale master plans , ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and local zoning codes.
  • Zoning & Permitting : Prepare documentation and exhibits for zoning variances , special exceptions , and conditional use applications .
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and planners to ensure cohesive project delivery and regulatory compliance.
  • Site Inspections : Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the correct implementation of landscape features during construction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience : 3-5 years of experience in landscape architecture, particularly in stormwater management , site development , or similar fields.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D , and other landscape design software. Experience with GIS and hydrologic modeling tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of landscape design principles, stormwater management , and zoning laws .
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution. Licensure is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with land development plans , stormwater management plans , and municipal reviews .
  • Familiarity with highway occupancy permits , floodplain delineation studies , and subdivision plans is advantageous.
