Job Title: Journeyman Carpenter

Company’s Basic Information

Work with our amazing client, a family centralized assisted living facility in the greater Genesee county area. Client services include counseling, medical care, occupational therapy and case management, as well as compassionate residential care in a family setting.

Role Summary

We are looking for skilled Carpenters with strong electrical background to ensure the resident homes are safe and up to code. Due to the nature of the position and entering care homes frequently, a clean background, physical, and drug screen is required. You will work job orders as well as anything needing immediate attention under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install structures and fixtures according to specific instructions provide and ensure all frameworks are properly installed.
• Measure, cut and shape wood, plastic, and fiberglass and construct frameworks such as wall studs and doorframes.
• Repair and maintain structures including windows, frames, and floorings.
• Strong knowledge of basic electrical systems.
• Put up siding and drywall, repair weather stripping and handle building interior and exterior maintenance.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to cut and shape wood and fiberglass.
• Build countertops and handle cabinet and furniture fabrication duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma required, trade schooling preferred.
• Clean background, physical and drug screen.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
