This position will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing of IT systems, including scenario and regression testing. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze requirements, develop test plans, execute test cases, and ensure the quality and reliability of our IT systems. The incumbent's role will be instrumental in identifying defects, ensuring system functionality, and maintaining a high level of software quality. Essential Job Functions:
- Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements, features, and functionalities. Develop test plans, test strategies, and test scenarios based on project objectives, system architecture, and business requirements.
- Test Case Development: Design, create, and document test cases and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements. Ensure that test cases cover all aspects of the system under test, including positive and negative scenarios, error handling, and edge cases.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases and test scripts to validate system functionality, data integrity, and performance. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects and ensure system stability and reliability.
- Defect Management: Identify, track, and report defects using defect tracking tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Test Environment Setup: Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to set up and configure test environments. Ensure that test environments are representative of the production environment to accurately simulate real-world scenarios.
- Test Data Management: Create and manage test data sets, ensuring they cover various test scenarios and edge cases. Develop and maintain test data repositories for efficient test case execution and reusability.
- Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and work with the automation team to develop and maintain automated test scripts. Execute and monitor automated tests to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
- Test Reporting and Documentation: Generate test reports, including defect reports, test execution status, and test coverage. Document test procedures, test results, and other relevant documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the testing process. Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, test efficiency, and quality enhancement. Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies.
Requirements: - BA or BS in a healthcare, computer science, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in IT Testing including general system testing, scenario and regression testing
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements.
- Minimum 1 - 3 years experience with testing tools and technologies, such as defect tracking tools, test management tools, and test automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in executing test cases, logging defects, and managing defect lifecycles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document test cases, report findings, and provide clear and concise updates.
