Job Description

Overview Investment Analyst II at Truist The Investment Analyst (IA) is responsible for working with Investment Managers and the Investment Advisory Group to assist in delivering Investment Management Services to clients in Truist Wealth who generally have $5mm+ in AUM. The IA typically works with a minimum of 2 Investment Managers to manage a client base of approximately 100-150 relationships with assets under management averaging $1-2 billion and revenue responsibility averaging $7.5-10 million. Regular or Temporary: Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Responsibilities The investment team is a critical partner in new business development and acts as a primary source for investment communication. The IA assists the Investment Manager in acquiring prospective clients through comprehensive analysis of complex outside portfolios and presentation preparation. Propose, construct, and monitor client-specific, advice-driven investment strategies and solutions for individuals and families. Make proactive recommendations to Investment Managers and/or clients. Responsible, along with Investment Managers, for daily trading activities in discretionary, non-discretionary, and trust-based portfolios and for adhering to and documenting compliance with Truist Advisory Services, and relevant regulatory policies and procedures. Work with Investment Managers and compliance to monitor client portfolios relative to their investment policy statement and address variances with the team. Assist in the client onboarding experience and develop the Investment Policy Statement in accordance with the client’s unique situation. Develop and advise on investment recommendations and help transition new clients into a collaborative and ongoing portfolio management and client communication cycle. Prepare regular investment reviews for existing clients and adjust investment strategies to meet goals. Attend meetings and participate in presentations to clients and interact with other Truist wealth teammates. Actively engaged in risk management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent education and related training. Series 65 licenses. Candidates will have 60 days from their Start Date to transfer, or 100 days from their Start Date to acquire all of the registrations and licenses required for this position. Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of finance and investment theory. Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills. Proficient at utilizing complex models, databases, and statistical tools. Performance assessment experience. 5+ years of investment management / trading or related experience. Ability to work on complex projects with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications CFA charter or progress toward CFA; MBA or progress toward MBA; additional professional designations such as CFP, CIMA, CAIA Compensation and Benefits The base salary for this position can range from $100,000 to $140,000.
