The
Dental Broker Manager at Individual and Family Plans (IFP) is a critical team member responsible for making IFP a market leader in the individual Dental space. This individual will be part of a growing business unit that will execute on IFP's broker distribution strategy. He/she will drive dental sales through the recruitment, education/training, and engagement of our external broker partners.
Core Responsibilities: The Broker Manager will focus on the following priorities:
- Commit to and achieve monthly/quarterly sales and persistency goals
- Manage an assigned portfolio of broker/agencies and markets within the IFP footprint.
- Recruit and develop new broker/agency relationships within your markets. Efforts will include but not be limited to e-mail, phone calls, in person visits and regional broker conferences.
- Build trust in the broker community by providing first class service to our broker partners and act as their main point of contact to ensure they have everything to support their customers and sales processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental trends, competitive intelligence and other indicators ensuring a competitive edge.
- Develop a presence in the market by maintaining strong external relationships with general agents, brokers and other key producers in assigned markets. Day-to-day activities might include presenting Cigna'sproducts/capabilitiesat Cigna broker launch meetings, conducting seminars in person and on the phone and attending regional broker conferences and trade shows.
- Apply sound analytical skills using technology tools (including CRM tools such as Salesforce) to plan and execute sales activities.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible for incentive compensation. Specific details will be addressed in an annual compensation plan. Components may differ year to year to include any or all of the following:
- Achievement of sales goals
- Recruitment of high performing agents and brokers
- Achieving of persistency goals
- Executing market level strategies
- Meaningful collaboration with matrix partners
Skills and Experience: - High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 6+ years of relevant sales experience required, preferably in Dental Sales, Individual Dental Insurance, Medicare or Individual Health Sales
- Individual Dental and/or ancillary product experience strongly preferred
- Insurance License or the ability to obtain Insurance License within first 90 days
- Proficient with MS Office Suite to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to navigate thru virtual platforms. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
- Sales will be made through independent brokers/consultants, so having established broker relationships is preferred for this role.
- History of consistently delivering sales results
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners, driving positive energy through influential leadership.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, executive presence
- 10-25% overnight travel required
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
