Graphics Rendering Manager Cupertino, California, United States Software and Services Summary Posted: May 13, 2025 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number: 200578289 The UI Compositing team develops APIs, Frameworks and System Software that is the core graphics compositing engine behind every Apple device that renders to a display. Our team is looking for an extraordinary software engineering manager to lead a team of highly skilled engineers to work on the technologies behind the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AppleTV; every Apple product that has a display. By working at the core graphics layers in Apple's operating systems, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on the end user experience for all Apple customers. Description As a manager on the UI Compositing team, you will lead a team of highly skilled engineering team in the design and implementation of critical rendering technologies. Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of engineering management and project leadership experience, delivering high quality products 5+ years of hands-on software development Prior experience in leading large cross functional products Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills Preferred Qualifications Proven track record in strategic leadership and decision making A genuine passion for 2D and 3D graphics Experience with OpenGL, Vulkan, Metal, or other GPU programming APIs Experience with software performance analysis, optimizations and low-level systems programming You have excellent judgment and integrity with the ability to make timely and sound decisions You have an ability to stay focused and prioritize a heavy workload while achieving extraordinary quality You are upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude Education BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
