Job Summary/Description:

The GradHub Concierge, part of the GradQuest: Navigating your Graduate Program grant at ASU, supports graduate students academic success and engagement with the GradHub Learning Management System (LMS). This role involves developing, deploying, and monitoring LMS resources, assisting students in accessing academic and personal resources, and orienting new students to necessary technologies for online learning. This position is grant funded for four years. Continuation of position after the grant concludes is not guaranteed.

Typical Duties/Job Duties:

• Develop, deploy, and monitor GradHub LMS resource.
• Help students to identify, understand, and access resources to address their concerns.
• Assist in orienting new students to technologies needed for coursework or who are new to online/remote learning.
• Monitor and contact students who have not accessed their online course(s) by the end of the add/drop period.
• Discuss time management and organizational strategies with students who are falling behind in their courses.
• Foster student growth through coordination with proper organizational staff members to provide timely and accurate answers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of: Learning Management Systems (LMS), specifically Blackboard, Online and remote learning technologies, Academic resources and support services available to graduate students.
• Skilled in: Providing guidance and support to students in accessing academic and personal resources.
• Orienting new students to necessary technologies for coursework, Discussing and advising on time management and organizational strategies.
• Ability to: Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Identify and address student concerns promptly and effectively. Adapt to new technologies and learning environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and two years of advising experience.
• Experience developing and providing student support programs, preferably at the graduate student level.
• Strong digital literacy skills, ability to learn new systems and technologies easily
• Proven experience building, maintaining, monitoring, and evaluating online academic and non-academic programs.
• Commitment to the mission of providing access and success for minoritized students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree preferred.
• Fluency in second language such as Spanish.
• Knowledge of usability/accessibility requirements such as ADA Section 508, universal design strategies in various learning environments.
