Job Description

MAU is hiring a Generator Technician for our client, CAT5, in Coastal, SC. As a Generator Technician, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain backup power systems for telecommunications, emergency services, and local businesses. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information
  • Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Travel across eastern South Carolina required; overnight stays as needed (per diem included)
Required Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' previous experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic electrical knowledge required
General Requirements
  • DOT Medical Card required
  • Working knowledge of generator systems and their role in business operations
  • Ability to work independently and reliably
  • Compliance with company policies, goals, and asset protection
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending and twisting
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Flexible schedule with ability to travel and stay overnight
  • Pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Maintain a professional appearance and clean, safe work environment
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate basic shop equipment
  • Must be at least 25 years old
Essential Functions
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial generators
  • Evaluate and recommend necessary repairs
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose generator systems
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Stay updated on equipment model changes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Working Conditions
  • Field-based work across various customer sites in eastern South Carolina
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform bending and twisting motions throughout the day
