Freight Dispatcher – Family-Owned Trucking Company (Stoutland, MO) Company: TLP Trucking Location: Stoutland, Missouri Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $20–$30 per hour depending on experience, with pay increases as the company continues to grow About Us TLP Trucking is a small, family‑run trucking company based in Stoutland, Missouri. Position Overview We’re hiring a Freight Dispatcher to manage daily operations for our fleet. This is an in‑office position located in Stoutland, MO. The dispatcher will plan and schedule driver routes, coordinate loads, troubleshoot issues on the road, and keep trucks moving safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, and has hands‑on experience with bulk freight operations, including hopper, end dump, belt, and walking floor loads. Knowledge of livestock feed types and common bulk commodities (fertilizer, rock, sand, lime, etc.) is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Plan and optimize daily driver routes to ensure on‑time deliveries and maximize revenue Make daily check‑in calls to confirm drivers are on schedule for appointments Coordinate maintenance — weekly calls to check for needed repairs or issues Ensure all dedicated loads are covered and locate outside work or backhauls when needed Troubleshoot issues as they arise (late arrivals, routing problems, mechanical concerns, etc.) Guide drivers through minor mechanical or routing issues when necessary Track driver schedules — time off, weekend availability, and coverage needs Communicate clearly and respectfully with drivers, customers, and the TLP team Keep accurate load records and assist with operational efficiency Work with bulk freight customers and drivers to ensure accurate load instructions, product handling, and delivery expectations Qualifications Experience dispatching trucks or coordinating freight required Bulk freight experience required (hopper, end dump, belt, walking floor) Knowledge of livestock feed types and bulk commodities (fertilizer, rock, sand, lime, etc.) preferred Past driving experience a plus Mechanical knowledge to help troubleshoot minor issues over the phone Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast‑paced environment Experience with load boards, lanes, and freight matching a plus Dependable, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented attitude Must be able to work in‑office at our Stoutland, MO location Why Work With Us Family‑owned company that values its people Respectful, supportive work environment Opportunity to grow with a company that’s expanding Pay raises expected as the company continues to grow Competitive starting pay: $20–$30/hour based on experience How to Apply If you’re dependable, experienced, and ready to join a family‑run company that truly cares about its team, we’d love to hear from you.
