About the role As our first Implementation Engineer, you'll drive customer success by managing end-to-end testing pipelines using our AI platform. From initial onboarding through renewal, you'll own the technical relationship with customers, transforming their requirements into reliable automated test suites. This role requires a resourceful problem-solver capable of navigating complex technical challenges while building strong customer relationships. You'll balance hands-on troubleshooting with strategic customer management to ensure our customers get the most value from our testing service. As our first Implementation Engineer, you will: # Own the full customer technical journey from implementation through renewal, driving success across onboarding, integration, and ongoing optimization # Lead technical implementation projects, including AI test suite generation, configuration, and integration with customer CI/CD pipelines # Ensure test reliability through proactive monitoring, failure resolution, and workflow optimization # Drive customer health metrics and identify expansion opportunities through deep understanding of customer needs # Support pre-sales through technical demos, assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations # Develop custom solutions for unique customer requirements while maintaining scalability # Be the voice of the customer by capturing technical requirements, shaping product direction, and collaborating with engineering on platform improvements # Create and maintain customer-facing technical documentation and implementation guides To succeed in this role, you'll need: # Software development background with experience in test automation or web development # Experience with browser-based testing or demonstrated ability to quickly learn frameworks like Playwright # Ability to integrate Ranger into diverse dev workflows - from cloud CI/CD to on-premise runners and custom environments # Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders # Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt solutions across different technical environments # Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles # High sense of agency and ability to prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment # Growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning # Ability to manage multiple customer engagements and prioritize effectively # Pragmatic decision-making that balances customer needs with technical feasibility We value skills and mindset over specific credentials.
