Higher Taste is a local, family-owned food manufacturer specializing in Vegan and Vegetarian foods. We’re seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor! Opportunity for advancement, pay increases and bonuses. Join us as we fulfill our mission of bringing delicious food to the PNW and beyond!

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily and weekly food production by providing support, direction and management to the production team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production or catering and have supervised staff with the ability to multi-task and delegate efficiently. This position requires the ability to communicate in Spanish and English.

Schedule:
Shift is Monday through Thursday, 4:00 am - 3:00 pm or until daily production is complete.

Job Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
● Manage food production by identifying needs and ensuring smooth operations through supervision and task delegation
● Participate in hiring and training of production staff
● Motivate and inspire the production team by creating a positive work environment, maintaining open communication and fostering teamwork
● Monitor the quality of food and preparation, ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations by addressing any issues that may arise
● Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations including our 3rd party certifications
● Willing and able to step into various production roles including cooking, machine operation and packaging as needed
● Tracking production logs (temperature, hand-washing, sanitizing, cleaning, etc)

Basic Qualifications:
● High school or equivalent (Preferred)
● 1 year in food production or food service
● Supervisor experience
● Experience cooking batch recipes
● Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication & division
● Ability to be flexible in tasks, learn quickly and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to communicate in English (Preferred Bilingual -Spanish)

Physical Requirements:
● Required to communicate effectively through speaking and active listening
● Frequently required to stand and to reach with hands and arms
● Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
● Ability to spend work day standing, bending, & walking
● Must wear personal protective equipment (hairnet, smock, non-slip water resistant footwear and gloves)
● Work in cold working environment

Pay and Benefits:
● Pay range is DOE. Overtime pays time and a half
