What will you do in this job?

• Safely navigate row rafts and drift boats down Class I – III rivers
• Assist guests with fishing and safety gear, fish retrieval, etc.
• Train guests on proper fly-fishing gear use and techniques
• Work positively with other team members to implement all aspects of a Glacier Raft Co trip in order to provide guests with a safe, meaningful, and memorable fishing experience
• Give effective and demonstrative safety talks
• Engage with our guests in a positive, friendly, and supportive manner
• Provide meaningful tips and information on local flora and fauna, especially fish in our rivers
• Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed
• Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

• Previous whitewater guiding experience strongly preferred
• Previous fly-fishing guiding experience preferred
• Completion of GRC 6-day guide school
• CPR & First Aid Certification, or Advanced Medical Certifications
• Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team
• Be organized with a great eye for detail
• Be kind to others and always bring your best
• Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions
