Description Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. Job Summary: Clean and perform preventive maintenance on equipment that applies finish to fabric Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards: Perform general and detailed cleaning procedures on finishing equipment and building. Perform general preventive maintenance on finishing equipment and building Operate equipment properly. Report malfunctions or maintenance concerns to the supervisor. Perform other duties needed to do the job or as required by the supervisor. Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job. Meet deadlines and production quotas. Get along with co-workers. Follow instructions. Work scheduled overtime. Safety: Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety Position Requirements Qualifications: Be proficient in reading and writing English in order to follow special instructions and directions. Must be able to prioritize and work unattended to accomplish a specific task. Must be willing and able to work weekends or holidays if needed. Good physical condition to maneuver in and out of equipment. Additional specific training will be given such as Lock Out, Tag Out, etc as required for the job.
