Reporting to our Senior Manager of Finance, the Financial Analyst is a key member of the Accounting and Finance team and will be responsible for various day-to-day accounting activities while also participating in projects that help drive the growth of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Extensive communication and collaboration across the Finance, Operations, Sales and IT functions.

· Develop and take part in presenting reporting materials and variance analysis of monthly results versus budget, forecast and prior years.

· Assist in preparing detailed budget, forecast submissions (monthly forecasting cycle), and presentations including consolidation of overall Marine results.

· Assist in compilation and analysis of monthly financial and operational reports, including detailed comparison of actuals to forecast and prior periods

· This role will assist in various internal control adherence/documentation, preparation of month-end journal entries and assisting the accounting department in various ad-hoc requests

· Identify and participate in company process improvement projects

· Work collaboratively within the team and across departments

· Assist with other miscellaneous tasks and handle special projects upon request including performing ad-hoc analysis (pricing, market analysis, production planning, etc.)

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· 2+ years of experience and thorough understanding of accounting and finance

· CPA and experience in public accounting are preferred (not required)

· Advanced Excel skills required

· Knowledge of ERP and BI tools is a plus

· Ability to work autonomously and manage time well

· Succeeds in a fast-paced work environment

· Excellent attention to detail

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills

· OneStream and/or related query tool experience a plus
