Fiber Splicer – Raleigh/Durham Area
Location: Durham, NC (Must live within 1-hour commute)
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire (40 hours/week, rotating on-call shifts, including some weekends)

Are you a skilled Fiber Splicer looking for an opportunity to grow with a top-tier telecommunications company? We’re hiring a Fiber Splicer to join our team in the Raleigh/Durham area. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fusing optical fibers to maintain and expand our fast-growing telecommunication networks. Your expertise will help ensure strong, reliable connections for businesses and communities.
What You’ll Do:
Perform fiber splicing and cable upgrades (aerial and underground) with supervision
Test, activate, and troubleshoot circuits after installation
Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
Work safely at various heights and environments, including underground and aerial setups
Conduct basic vehicle maintenance, such as fluid checks
Document daily production, including material usage and map updates
Assist with additional duties as needed
What You’ll Need:
Must be at least 18 years old
Authorization to work in the U.S.
High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
Valid state driver’s license (non-Provisional) with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and maintain a valid medical card
6+ months of fiber splicing experience or 1+ year in the telecommunications industry
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of telecommunications network structure
Availability for on-call work after normal business hours as needed
