Estimator (Commercial Construction)
Ontario, CA | $75,000 to $90,000 | Temp to Possible Hire
A well-established commercial construction company in Ontario, CA is seeking an experienced Estimator to support active projects while the current Estimator is on leave, with strong potential to transition to a long-term role for the right fit.
As the Estimator, you will play a key role in driving profitable, competitive bids and ensuring accurate project costing. This is an ideal opportunity for a polished, detail-oriented construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a direct impact.
Responsibilities:
Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
Forecast project timelines and resource needs
Assist in developing profitable and competitive bids
Support the contractor in securing and winning bids
Review and analyze data, reports, purchase orders, and subcontracts
Prepare and update project estimates and documentation
Organize and file receipts, purchase orders, and other project records
Gather all necessary information to produce accurate project estimates
Requirements:
5 to 7 years of Estimating experience in commercial construction
Extremely professional, polished, and reliable presence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills and proficiency with estimating and office software
High attention to detail and sense of urgency
College degree preferred, not required
Compensation:
Salary range: $75,000 to $90,000, based on experience
