Indianapolis-based accounting firm is searching for a Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant position will work closely with clients in our area.

Duties of this position include, but not limited to:

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual insurance audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
• Review and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to clients.
• Oversee QuickBooks, monitor taxes and keep clients in compliance with regulations

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Strong Excel skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong QuickBooks knowledge
• Organizational skills
• Personal and business tax return preparation and review.
• Self-starter and strong ethical standards
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; proficiency in Excel
