JOB SUMMARY: 

Electrician position installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, controls equipment, and fixtures, and apparatus by performing the following duties below.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment ranging from 12 to 480 volts
• Maintain all electrical power and related equipment including (i.e. appliances, motors-1/8 to 400 horsepower, lighting, control circuits, motor control centers and underground cable
• Design, designate and dedicate control circuits and amp loads
• Calculate wire sizes, voltage drops, conduit sizes
• Facilitate in the design and cost estimating for minor electrical installations
• Manage electrical parts and supplies inventory
• Assist with temporary service installations for special events

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma
• Must hold a valid California C-10 Electrical Contractor License
• 2 years of electrical trade school and/or 4 years apprenticeship program required
• Knowledge and comprehension of the National Electrical Code required
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and to move heavy materials or equipment as required.
