We are seeking an experienced and reliable Route Driver to join our Old Lyme team. Excellent starting wage and benefits package, including 401k with company match and profit sharing! Essential Functions include the ability to load, secure and unload product safely, maintain a route schedule, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service, demonstrated communication and customer service skills, accurate handling of CODs and delivery manifests, vehicle inspection pre- and post-delivery, compliance with all federal and state regulations, excellent attendance and reliability, ability to solve practical problems with minimal supervision, and Hazmat training is a plus. Required Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience, medical examiner's certificate and ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits, ability to become certified through OSHA in Basic Hazmat, Driver Specific Hazmat, and Security Awareness, CDL preferred but not required, and ability to lift up to 50lbs. Working conditions involve frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, balancing, and use of arms and hands to reach, pull, push, clasp and move materials, with lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
