Job Description
Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Dishwasher to join a dedicated Hospital Food Services Team in the Austin area. In this role, you’ll support the overall cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This is a great opportunity for someone dependable and detail-oriented who’s looking to make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting. No specific experience is required — we’ll provide the training!
As a Dishwasher, you’ll be responsible for:
Washing and sanitizing dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Assisting with general kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks
Following strict infection control and food safety protocols
Organizing and storing clean kitchenware in designated areas
Working collaboratively with food service staff to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment
Handling and disposing of waste and recycling properly
Demonstrating a strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced environment
What you’ll need:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Reliable transportation and punctuality for shift-based work
Willingness to follow hospital sanitation and safety standards
Positive attitude and teamwork mindset
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
