LHH is partnering with a leader in industrial refrigeration specializing in the design, fabrication, installation and servicing of custom refrigeration systems in search of a Director of Mechanical Engineering. This company has been in business for over 30 years and is a trusted partner that continues to exhibit growth. In this job, you will be responsible for a team of professionals that are the heart of the business. This direct hire job is located in Lyndhurst, VA and is 100% onsite with light travel with a salary between $125K - $160K **exceptional candidates may be considered at a higher salary. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of Engineers & Designers who are responsible for developing industrial refrigeration systems
• Ensure that these two teams are operating efficiently, producing high quality work and meeting project timelines and budgets
• Collaborate with company leadership to align engineering activities with overall business goals and drive continuous improvement in process and project execution

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in project management and engineering design.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience managing engineering teams in the industrial refrigeration or a related industry.
• Strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, particularly with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration.
• In-depth knowledge of ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
