Job Responsibilities
- Available to work afternoons
- Assist clients with daily personal tasks, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Provide basic healthcare services such as monitoring vital signs and medication reminders
- Prepare meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and hygienic living environment
- Facilitate transportation for clients to appointments, shopping, or other outings
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities to promote mental and social stimulation
- Follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals and report any significant changes in client's condition
- Assist with mobility and physical therapies or exercises
- Ensure clients' rights are respected and maintain confidentiality of all personal information
- Document and report care provided and any changes observed in the clients' condition or behavior
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members
- Manage emergency situations effectively, administering basic first aid and CPR if required
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and participate in continuing education programs to maintain professional competency
- Adhere to all applicable laws, policies, and standards of ethical conduct
- Provide end-of-life care as needed, offering emotional support and comfort to clients and their families.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in CPR and first aid
- Previous experience in caregiving or similar role preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks and assist with mobility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and dedication to providing compassionate care
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and healthcare practices
- Ability to adhere to health and safety standards
- Flexibility with work hours, including availability for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Familiarity with documenting and reporting information regarding client care
