We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable data solutions.

This internship will provide exposure to data pipelines, ETL processes, data science and ML-OPS foundational systems, cloud technologies, and big data platforms.

Please note that Digital Turbine is a hybrid work environment-only candidates local to the specified office locations will be considered.

• Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage structured and unstructured data.
• Support data integration from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide well-structured, clean datasets.
• Work with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain performance and reliability.
• Document processes and contribute to best practices for data engineering workflows.

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of SQL and database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
• Basic knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse) is a plus.
• Understanding of Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or similar technologies is a bonus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
