Job Description

Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking a qualified Part Time Dance Teacher to instruct three levels of dance classes for Grades 9-12 in various styles and techniques through the end of May, with possibility of extended employment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Instruction 

• Teach diverse dance styles (beginner through advanced levels) 

• Implement and adapt existing curriculum to meet student needs 

• Differentiate instruction for varied learning styles and abilities 

Choreography & Performance 

• Choreograph and rehearse students for annual Dance Concert, assemblies, and special events 

• Provide creative leadership in choreography and production design 

Student Development 

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback 

• Foster intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development 

• Create a supportive, engaging learning environment 

Communication & Collaboration 

• Maintain regular communication with students, parents, faculty, and administrators 

• Coordinate with Director of Visual and Performing Arts 

• Collaborate with colleagues on productions and performances 

School Community 

• Support Holy Child's mission and values 

• Foster culturally responsive, inclusive classroom environment 

• Follow all school policies and safety protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Dance (or equivalent) 

• Dance teaching experience in classroom settings 

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills 

• Creative, dependable, and professional approach 

• Commitment to student safety and proper technique 

• Knowledge of multiple dance styles
