\n \n\n \nAdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.
\n \nAdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.
\n \nThe Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.
\n \n\n \nThe ro le you'll contribute:
\n \n\n \nUnder the direction of the Radiologist and a Preceptor, performs CT radiologic procedures. Will require independent judgment and initiative to perform CT procedures and appropriate protocols for diagnosis; to include Interventional Radiology procedures with CT guidance. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Technologist may still be required to assist in X-ray in addition to CT to meet department needs. Obtain ARRT(CT) credential within 12 months of starting this role and then transition to the appropriate CT Tech job description/role.
\n \n\n \nThe val ue you'll bring to the team:
\n \n\n \nWork under the supervision of a credentialed CT or experienced CT technologist registered in another primary modality, to obtain the necessary experience to perform the exams required for ARRT CT registry. May be required to work shifts at freestanding ER with remote support of CT technologist.
\n \n\n \nRotates on-call status.
\n \nContacts vendor service engineer for assistance when system problem arises.
\n \nPerforms other related duties as required and deemed necessary per Supervisor to include general x-ray and surgical x-ray imaging as needed.
\n \nFollows AdventHealth service standards.
\n \nMaintains ethical relationships and cooperates with all personnel in proper conduct of department.
\n \nIncorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
\n \nTransfers and positions patients. Lifting of patients is necessary at times.
\n \nInitiates and assists in Code Blue procedures if called.
\n \n\n \nQualifications
\n \n\n \nT he expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
\n \n\n \nAssociates degree or Graduate of a Technical School.
\n \n1 position related experience.\n \nAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (RT).
\n \nFlorida State Licensure CRT
\n \nBasic Life Support - CPR Cert
