• Entry Level Cook is a culinary position that requires basic culinary skills or related cooking experience and good communication skills.  This is typically a production position that requires total supervision and training. 
• Intermediate Level Cook requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired candidate will have hotel cooking experience and professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures.  Intermediate cook will work single stations in the kitchen and require supervision and training.
• Experienced Level Cook requires good communication skills as well as at least three years of previous line and fine dining experience. A Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred. Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills including preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, broiling. This person may be required to give direction in the supervisor's absence.

The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $25 per hour. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience and education and training level. 

• This position also qualifies for a $1000 sign on bonus. This will be paid out in two installments $500 after 3 months and $500 after 6 months

• No previous experience preferred for entry and required for higher level cook.
