We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role is essential in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of daily accounting, including general ledger entries, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and collections.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to meet operational needs and financial objectives.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning.
• Lead and mentor a small accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Partner with operations teams to provide financial insights that drive informed business decisions.
• Evaluate and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Handle month-end closings and prepare journal entries.
• Manage quarterly tax projections and coordinate with external parties on annual tax submissions.• Proven experience in accounting and financial management, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and collections.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and internal controls.
• Exceptional skills in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Leadership experience, including managing and mentoring accounting teams.
• Proficiency in evaluating and improving accounting processes.
• Experience with tax planning and compliance, including quarterly projections.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency in document control and organization, including scanning and compiling financial documents.
