Control Room Operator - Night
Continental Shift: 6PM to 6:30AM
Location: South Fort Worth Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Do you have a keen eye for detail and an interest in quality control and operations? We’re looking for a dedicated Control Room Operator to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing: - Set up and manage green coffee receiving lines and release bins following authorization procedures.
- Oversee the flow and schedule of receiving, roasting, and grinding operations while ensuring quality parameters are met.
- Set up coffee for packaging lines in a timely manner, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Update and adjust blend formulas as needed according to blend change procedures.
- Handle minor maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and communicate maintenance needs.
- Report issues and status updates to supervisors, planners, quality teams, and coworkers.
- Direct and train support operators in control room operations, housekeeping, and other responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including thermal cleaning of roasters, cleaning pelletizers, and managing dust collection/chaff systems.
What You Bring to the Role: - Experience in roasting and grinding operations.
- Strong understanding of control room operations, including Green Bean Receiving and Packaging lines.
- Valid forklift certification and JLG lift qualifications.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions and communicate clearly with team members.
- Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and great organizational abilities.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
- Dedication to keeping work areas clean and orderly.
- Committed to following all equipment and facility safety procedures.
- Flexibility with work hours and willingness to perform other duties as needed.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
