Summary:

The Clinical Educator of Imaging Services has expert level knowledge in the respective modality and maintains the quality and efficiency of the technologists and equipment:@@Technologist: Assessment – Planning – Evaluation of staff as it relates to educational activities including onboarding orientation and professional development.@@Equipment: Assess – Calibrate – Manage equipment as it relates to purchasing, protocol review/edit, quality maintenance, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Conducts a learning needs assessment of Memorial Healthcare System's Imaging Services and synthesizes evaluation data to guide decision-making about educational programming and staff competencies.Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and educational activities across Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) in modality specific education.Collaborates with managers, staff, and physicians to assess learning needs and competencies based on the evolving needs of specialty and subspecialty service lines offered by the organization.Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development; assists with patient care when appropriate.Serves as a resource to Imaging Leadership in the procurement, demonstration and roll out of new imaging equipment in related modality.Coordinates, develops, delivers, and assesses continuing education and curriculum related to clinical competencies, clinical equipment, policies and procedures, regulatory and accrediting.Designs, implements and communicates modality specific protocols and best practices based on peer reviewed literature in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.Utilizes multiple mediums of communication to present modality specific education across MHS.Leads the Memorial Healthcare System imaging modality specific clinical ladder, as well as other committee, work groups and/or projects related to the implementation of educational activities.Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.

Nuclear Medicine: Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine ARRT or NMTCB. - MRI: Registered Technologist ARRT (RT, MR) CT: Registered Technologist ARRT (RT, CT). Pediatric Specific: Registered as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer in Pediatric Echo (RDCS-PE) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or as a Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Fetal Echocardiography Registry.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine or Ultrasound program.Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
