Job Description

Required Skills & Experience

Must-haves: 7-12+ years of experience within the following (Master's Degree accounts for 2 years of experience)

Experience within Structural Engineering of carbon composite materials (carbon fiber materials, hypergolics, heat transfers, etc.)

Experience within Hypersonic Interceptors, Ballistic Missile Defense or ICBM programs

Ability to analyze and evaluate highly technical conceptual designs

Experience using Linear and Nonlinear Structural Analysis

Familiarity of Acquisition Documents and/or DAU standard documenting

Experience with integrated requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables with system engineering principles

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

Active Secret Clearance + TS and SAP eligible

Ability to sit on site at Hill AFB daily (located in Clearfield, UT)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Any ICBM or RS/RV experience

Master's Degree

Active TS or TSSCI Clearance

Previous SAP Clearance

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared Structures and Carbon Composite Engineer to join one of their top defense clients at Hill Air Force Base supporting a large defensive weaponry program. This individual will be supporting a Pre-Milestone A program by providing their expertise within Structures and Carbon Composite engineering as a subject matter expert to the customer for reviewing requirements, specification documents, designs, architectures, and engineering proposals. Currently, this program is creating various acquisition documents for the customer to establish the baseline of this program as it prepares for Milestone A. This individual will provide the technical information for the technical writing team to review documents to meet DAU standards. This role will be heavily involved in imaging a new generation of re-entry capabilities that has never been done before. This role will over time turn to support the reviewing and analyzing of carbon composites, linear and nonlinear structural analysis, hypersonic applications, and other light weight, hypergolic designs or tests.
