About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Research and Data Officer to lead the charge in promoting evidence-based decision-making and a culture of data-informed governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading the use of data, research, and analytics to improve the quality of life for residents and enhance government operations. This pivotal role involves leading and expanding a team of data scientists, researchers, analysts, and project managers, as well as driving performance improvements through the design and implementation of comprehensive research projects. The Chief Research and Data Officer will also be tasked with enhancing the city's data and research infrastructure, fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making, and ensuring ethical and responsible data use. Applicants for the Chief Research and Data Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' progressive leadership experience in research, data analytics, or related fields, with a preference for those with a background in government or urban contexts. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is also preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of public policy and urban governance challenges, as well as a proven track record in translating research findings into actionable policy recommendations.
