ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
As directed by supervisory personnel or from verbal or written instructions including, blueprints, routing sheets, work instructions and any other production forms required by management, performs a variety of duties which include but are not limited to the following: sets up and operates oval link forming, welding, and calibrating machines (one former, welder, and calibrator per set) regularly producing heat treated and or non-heat treated chain and other machines as required; makes necessary adjustments and repairs; makes frequent checks on chain being formed and welded to insure high quality and adherence to specifications; records necessary information on production forms; uses hand an power tools and measuring instruments in performance of the job.
Initial selection of the Operator – OLFW will be made by a joint Company/Union committee. The committee will interview candidates and provide input into the selection based on the following factors:
