Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Engineering Technician for one of our largest technology client's Autonomous Vehicle team. As an engineering technician, you will be working under the supervision of senior engineers responsible for developing and maintaining hardware systems to drive the car. You will work with different teams, including electrical, mechanical, software engineering, and QA to transform the information into driving the car with the best experience. You will help build, test, and maintain the system and make it work flawlessly and safely on our driving platform. You are expected to have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Previous hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and updating autonomous vehicle hardware is a requirement. Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor suite hardware and automotive mechanical and electrical systems is highly valued. You will be building the hardware on the outside of the autonomous vehicles and doing a lot of diagnostic and testing work in a lab.
Required Skills & Experience
•3+ years of hands-on proven experience in electrical/electronics and vehicles
•Completion of Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
•ASE or MECP certification preferred, but not required
•Knowledge and experience using Windows or Linux operating systems
•Experience using python
•High proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting of electrical / electronic systems
•Background in electronic components, automotive industry, and equipment
