About the job Associate Bankruptcy Attorney - VA Job Title: Associate Bankruptcy Attorney Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Onsite) Salary: $75,000 $95,000 Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent Job Summary: The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling bankruptcy matters on behalf of clients. This role requires strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while delivering exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and approve bankruptcy-related pleadings. Manage all aspects of bankruptcy matters, including Proof of Claims, Motions for Relief, Objections, Responses to Objections, Payment Change Notices, Settlements, and Adversary Proceedings. Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings. Provide consistent updates and legal counsel to clients. Attend regular client meetings. Handle additional duties and special projects as assigned. Must Haves / Requirements: Juris Doctorate. Licensed and in good standing with the Maryland and Virginia State Bars. 0-3 years of bankruptcy experience. Residency in Baltimore, Maryland or Alexandria, Virginia. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads. Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
