Job Title : S Appraiser Trainee (Remote with Periodic Office Meetings)

Location : Brooklyn, NY

Position Summary :

We are seeking a motivated Appraiser Trainee to join our team. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, complemented by periodic in-person meetings at our Brooklyn office. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing their expertise in real estate appraisal, working closely under the guidance of our experienced supervisory appraisers.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in conducting property inspections and data collection.
• Support the preparation of detailed appraisal reports.
• Perform market research and analysis to aid in property valuations.
• Collaborate with the appraisal team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in regular training sessions and meetings to enhance appraisal knowledge and skills.

Qualifications :

• Completion of the required 79 hours of qualifying appraisal education, including:
• Basic Appraisal Principles (30 hours)
• Basic Appraisal Procedures (30 hours)
• National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) (15 hours)
• Supervisory Appraiser/Trainee Appraiser Course (4 hours)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with appraisal software and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with the team.
• Willingness to attend periodic in-office meetings in Brooklyn, NY.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Certified General Appraiser (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:

• Brooklyn, NY 11201: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
