About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to provide essential medical leadership and support to residents within skilled nursing facilities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained and continuously improved. This is a 1099 contractor role.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Director Services (8 hours per month):
Provide expert medical and procedural consultation to residents, adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including Title 42, Section 483.75(i) of the Code of Federal Regulations.
Offer ongoing and ad hoc advice to facility administrators regarding service enhancements, future resident care programs, medical equipment needs, and staffing requirements.
Clinical Leadership and Support:
Be available 24/7 for emergency consultations and support.
Actively participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) monthly meetings (minimum 10 months per year).
Collaborate in the development of clinical pathways designed to optimize resident care.
Support facility marketing efforts as requested.
Assist the facility in fostering positive relationships with other attending physicians, ensuring seamless and high-quality care for residents.
On-Site and Remote Collaboration:
This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Required on-site visits to facilities in Wellsville, New York, at a minimum of twice per month, to ensure direct patient interaction and facility collaboration.
